Blogmas #8 | My Cruelty-Free Vegan Makeup Staples

Hey Spookies! I know we vegans can be hard to buy for if you're not vegan yourself, so I thought I'd pop together a little makeup post for you! This post is the lowdown on my daily staple pieces of makeup, to help give some inspiration to those struggling to find gifts for a vegan beauty lover (or a beauty lover in general - everyone can enjoy vegan makeup!).

Here I am, rockin' these makeup products!

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation | £33 | This is my holy grail foundation. It's quite expensive but lasts a looooong time, so is definitely worth it. It comes in a fantastic shade range that includes us super-pale gals and lasts really well without being cakey (especially if applied with a beauty blender-style sponge). I'd be lost without this foundation!

Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer | £18 | I've not been using this for long but I love it! I use the shade 'White Out' because I'm super pale and love the gothic-look anyway. I use it to both conceal and highlight and it works a treat. Kat Von D has a lot of vegan options, just go to her website and click the '#veganalert' tab for a list of her vegan-friendly products.

Manic Panic Vampyre's Veil Pressed Powder | £13.99 | This pressed powder is ideal if you like a little bit of additional coverage from your powder. I use the shade 'Virgin' which is completely white, as it helps keep my face pale and creates a white gothic matte look, but they do have a range of more natural shades too. It has a really lovely texture and comes in an adorable compact with a mirror and a powder puff, so is great for keeping in your bag too.

Lunatick Cosmetics Supernatural Eyeshadow Palette | £25.99 | This shadow palette is perfect for daily looks. It's beautifully cool-toned and I actually use it to contour too at the moment. I adore that it's cool-toned as often warm browns and nudes don't work too well on ghostly skin! It can be used for everyday looks as well as for making bold smokey-eyes and is definitely the main staple of my palette collection, and features in most eye makeup looks I do!

Makeup Revolution Strobe Highlighter | £3 | I have a few shades of this, but I particularly love 'Northern Lights', which is a white highlight with green reflects in it. These highlights are budget-friendly, incredibly pigmented and powerful, and come in a brilliant range of shades. I wouldn't recommend this for someone who prefers a natural highlight, as these are incredibly bold! TAM Beauty have so many inexpensive vegan products across all of their brands, and they're all labelled on their website - a perfect place to go hunting for stocking fillers!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion | £17 | This little primer packs a punch! It's one of the best primers I've ever used, and keeps my eyeshadow in place all day long. There's not much else to say about it really! It's also available in a travel-sized tube for £9.

Makeup Gallery Eyeliner | £1 | I could rave about this eyeliner all day long. If anyone mentions eyeliner, I seize the opportunity to preach about this eyeliner. It's £1, and honestly the best I've used in my nearly-a-decade of wearing eyeliner almost every day. It's bold, it lasts all day, and it has a 'brush style' applicator instead of one of those awful felt-tip ends. It can do no wrong. It's the holy grail of eyeliners and if you haven't tried it, you're missing out! It's available in a few different colours, and is found in Poundland.

Medusa's Makeup Witch Lash Mascara | £6.99 | Truthfully, I'm not super picky about mascara. Without being conceited, I've been blessed with naturally long lashes, so all I really look for is a deep black pigment. This mascara does just that! It's a brilliantly deep black, and does have a great lengthening and separating effect, giving a lovely doll-like look. This is the mascara I've found myself reaching for every day, and I can definitely see myself repurchasing it!

Freedom Makeup London Pro Brow Pomade | £5 | This brow pomade is a recent addition to my makeup collection, and I am in love! It's incredibly pigmented, builds well, applies smoothly, and doesn't budge once it's on. If you love to have strong brows, then this is the pomade for you. I use the shade 'Granite' to match my black hair, and it gives me brilliantly bold brows. Winner.

I hope this post was useful! If there's any vegan makeup you love, let me know - I'd love to try it out!
