Hello Spookies! I've been gone for a while, again (no surprises there), but I've decided to dive back into blogging by throwing myself in the deep end with Blogmas, naturally.
Where have I been? What have I been up to? You almost certainly don't care but I'm going to tell you anyway. In September, I started a new job, which has been keeping me one busy bee! I'm the administrator at a Haunted House now. A freaking. Haunted. House. My dream place to work, obviously!
Aside from that, I've been getting started with my dissertation for my Masters degree, after having to restart it. I'm slowly easing myself back into the swing of university work after a much needed break from it all! Things got a little stressful toward the middle of summer and I definitely made the right choice to stop and restart a different dissertation. My previous one just wasn't meant to be. Either way, I'm getting back on track now and pretty soon I'll be Kiah Page, MSc. Phew!
Moving into November, Freddie and I decided to make our family even bigger by adopting two rats! Enter Lydia Deetz and Wednesday Adams, two black fluffy souls that have stolen our hearts. Having 4 greedy little critters in our home is just lovely, and I'm so glad we opened our doors to another pair of little angels in need.
Not everything has been peachy though, and unfortunately over the last couple of months my mental health has taken a turn. I found myself in a position where I had to ask for help instead of battling through alone, and I'm so thankful that I did. With help from Freddie, my family, and my GP, I'm starting to feel much better. That's why I've been absent from blogging and social media in general. I've been working a lot and resting a lot, so haven't had much to share!
Blogmas here on SpookyKiah should be full of all things festive, from makeup to yummy vegan treats to ways to get your furbabies involved in the festive spirit. Focusing on Christmas cheer has been keeping my spirits up so I'm looking forward to posting my own Blogmas and reading everyone else's! See you tomorrow,
