Blogtober #6 // My 4 Favourite Vinyls

Hello Spookies! Today for Blogtober I thought it'd be great to talk vinyls. My record collection is definitely in its infancy and is predominantly made up of second-hand eBay finds and charity shop gems. I had a rifle through my tiny collection to pick my top 5 out and they're pretty groovy.

1. The Cure - Why Can't I Be You? // This one is a single and what began my record collecting. I discovered The Cure way later in life than I'd like to admit and became immediately obsessed. This lead to wild eBay rampages to find merchandise and an impulse purchase of this later, my record collection had started.

2. The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber // A must have for someone who adores musicals as much as I do. When I put this on, our studio flat becomes my stage and poor Freddie has to grin and bear it whilst I reenact scenes from Cats. I'm not sorry.

3. The Specimen - Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang // I'm absolutely going to admit that I saw this vinyl and wanted it because it looked so cool, looked the band up, then fell in love. This came as a set of The Specimen vinyls but this one is the coolest. Obviously.

4. Gerard Way - Pinkish // This was my first Record Store Day purchase and I love it dearly. Gerard Way's work means a whole lot to me, these songs are wonderful, and the vinyl is just so aesthetically pleasing to look at or watch spinning. 'Nuff said, really.

Good grief I realised all too late that my vinyls, having been in storage during my move, unleashed a massive cloud of dust which is totally on show in all of these photos. Oops. What are you favourite vinyls? I want to know!

  1. THIS ARE AMAZING! In my opinion there is nothing better than being able to listen to music by vinyl records, unless you're seeing the band live of course! 💋💕
